New CEP Board to Advance Standardisation and Refuelling Infrastructure

The Clean Energy Partnership (CEP) has restructured its board. With representatives from infrastructure and the vehicle industry, the expert panel aims to further strengthen its role in the standardisation and expansion of hydrogen mobility in Europe.

EWE starts construction of 320 MW electrolyser in Emden

EWE has begun construction of a 320-megawatt hydrogen plant in Emden. The plant is part of the "Clean Hydrogen Coastline" project and is expected to supply green hydrogen to industrial customers from the end of 2027.

Zhiheng Ye, a doctoral candidate at Fraunhofer ILT, is working on new technologies that allow the production of electrolysers without precious metals.

AI-supported laser welding technology to replace precious metals

In the KISSSEs project, Fraunhofer ILT, iGas energy, and dLS LichtSchneiderei are working on laser-based manufacturing processes for PEM electrolysers. The goal is to replace precious metals with conductive titanium expanded metal and thus reduce production costs.

Infrastructure for Europe's largest hydrogen bus fleet grows

Air Products has commissioned a new hydrogen refueling station in Meckenheim, in the south of North Rhine-Westphalia. The facility will supply the bus fleet of Regionalverkehr Köln GmbH (RVK) and is part of an infrastructure project for emission-free mobility in the Rhein-Sieg district.

Hy2gen plans 200 MW e-fuels plant in Oulu, Finland

The German company Hy2gen is planning a 200 MW plant for the production of synthetic fuels at the port of Oulu in Finland. The city is set to become the leading e-fuels location in the Baltic Sea region. A final investment decision is still pending.
