Daimler Truck and Keyou plan to jointly launch a truck with a hydrogen combustion engine. The basis is the Mercedes-Benz Actros L 1848. The Munich-based Keyou GmbH is responsible for the conversion. The market launch is planned for the end of 2027.

The Lower Saxony start-up H2Green Oil is introducing the cloud-based solutions CIM Database Cloud and Elements for IoT from Contact Software. The company aims to link product development, operation, and service of its decentralised hydrogen systems.

The World Economic Forum (WEF) has recognised the US company Power to Hydrogen (P2H2) as a Technology Pioneer 2026. The company from Columbus, Ohio, develops electrolysers based on Anion Exchange Membranes (AEM) and is the only hydrogen company in this year's selection.

Thyssenkrupp Uhde has received two pre-FEED contracts from Fuella AS for large-scale plants to produce green ammonia in Brazil. These are to produce 400,000 tons of ammonia annually at the ports of Pecém and Açu.

A European consortium of fifteen partners has launched the HyCavern project. The aim is to develop underground hydrogen storage in mining-engineered, lined rock caverns. The three-year project is coordinated by the Norwegian research institute SINTEF.

The Swiss company Infener wants to promote hydrogen throughout Europe. Decentralized H₂ hubs will be used to generate green electricity as well as green heat. The Ecore One is a compact containerized solution that combines various energy technologies in one unit: electrolyzer, fuel cell and battery as well as compressor and a heat pump with its own energy management system or EMS. H₂ production is due to start 2027 at a site in the Black Forest, Germany. However, the needs of regional industry are already far greater today.

Witt Gas Controls has developed a check valve specifically for PEM fuel cells in industrial trucks. The Ultra 22 opens at around 4 mbar and is intended to increase the efficiency of the fuel cell systems of a North American manufacturer.

According to Fraunhofer ISE, Ireland can become a significant player in the hydrogen economy. In the HYreland project, researchers analyzed potentials and costs. For export to Germany, pipeline transport to Stade or Rotterdam would be the most cost-effective.

The Stadtwerke Stuttgart have begun constructing a hydrogen pipeline approximately four kilometres long along the Neckar. It is intended to transport green hydrogen from the planned Green Hydrogen Hub in the Stuttgart harbour to consumers in three city districts.
