The network operators Ferngas, Gascade, and TEN are concretizing their plans to convert the Thuringian natural gas network to hydrogen. Initial network couplings are in planning, and a hydrogen storage facility and an H₂ hub are to be connected.

H₂ production is due to start 2027 at a site in the Black Forest, Germany. However, the needs of regional industry are already far greater today.

Hylane has brought the first hydrogen truck equipped with a Bosch fuel cell module into Germany’s road freight transport sector. The 40-ton truck from Iveco is operated by logistics company Schäflein for the Bosch plant in Nuremberg – as part of a rental model.
