Green hydrogen plays a central role in energy transition and decarbonization initiatives. Both Germany and the Republic of Korea are expected to become large net importers of hydrogen. Given their shared challenges along the hydrogen value chain, there is a joint effort to realize the full potential of a sustainable hydrogen economy through the “H2DeKo” research and development project. The Fraunhofer Institute for Microstructure of Materials and Systems IMWS, Anhalt University of Applied Sciences and KENTECH (Korea Institute of Energy Technology) are involved.
Main topics: H2 economics, politics and regulatory framework; H2 production; H2 logistics; H2 usage; H2 safety
