The Hydrogen Information Truck H2M, a tractor-trailer, began its road tour through Europe in Italy in spring 2015. The tour’s starting location on April 20 was the Italian parliament; the final destination was Paris at the end of 2015.There, the truck advertises for sustainable environmental policies during the UN Climate Conference (COP 21). The area of USV systems – along with the mobility sector and the supply of domestic energy – offers a wide range of possible applications to fuel cells. Since 2010, the Clean Power Net (CPN) sector network has been focusing on companies which work in the areas of the uninterrupted and off-grid supply of electricity, or Smart Grids. One of the most important projects in this field is the large-scale order to the value of 6.6 m. Euros for equipping more than 100 radio masts in Brandenburg, Germany, with fuel cell systems for the purpose of emergency power supply. (more…)

ASUE and DVGW to cooperate

To gain further influence in the different interests in the energy sector, two associations in the gas industry have entered into a strategic cooperation: the Deutsche Verein des Gas- und Wasserfaches (German Gas and Water Association / DVGW) and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft für sparsamen und umweltfreundlichen Energieverbrauch (Working Group for Energy Conservation and Environmentally Friendly Energy Use / ASUE). On 29th May 2015, the Chairman of the Board of the DVGW, Prof. Dr. Gerald Linke, and President of the ASUE, Dr. Ludwig Möhring, signed an appropriate agreement in Berlin. Its primary goals are (more…)
