N2telligence turns Japanese

At the onset of 2016, N2telligence was renamed Fuji N2telligence. But it was not until early this year that Fuji Electric Europe, headquartered in Offenbach, Germany, acquired all of the company’s assets. Before the deal went through, the number of staff members on N2telligence’s payroll had shrunk to four. Lars Frahm and Andreas Exler, its founders and former chief executives, left at the turn of this year.

ZBT Uses New PAFC to Create Air Low on O2

Since the end of last May, the Center for Fuel Cell Technology (ZBT) in Duisburg has had a phosphoric acid fuel cell (PAFC) in operation, which supplies the research institute with power and heat. The 100-kW unit even took on three additional tasks: It reduces energy costs, it serves as the basis for scientific studies in combined heat and power and it helps to produce air low on oxygen.
